Surah Muzammil is one of the 73rd and Meccan surahs of the Qur’an and is located in the 29th verse of the Qur’an. Its name is derived from its first verse, Which means one who lies down wrapped in cloths, and from which the Prophet (peace be upon him) Among the topics mentioned in this surah are the Prophet’s invitation to worship at night and recitation of the Quran, showing patience and steadfastness against the infidels, and Ma’ad, etc.
Verse 4 Is one of the most famous verses of this Surah in which the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is commanded to recite the Qur’an with a trumpet. It is said that tarteel refers to the correct pronunciation of words and pondering over the meanings of the verses. It has been mentioned in the hadiths that whoever recites Surah Muzammil in the Isha prayer or in the last hour of the night, God will give him a pure and pure life and that person will leave this world remaining in that state.

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
يٰۤاَيُّهَا الۡمُزَّمِّلُۙ
ترجمہ : اے (محمدﷺ) جو کپڑے میں لپٹ رہے ہو
قُمِ الَّيۡلَ اِلَّا قَلِيۡلاًۙ
ترجمہ : رات کو قیام کیا کرو مگر تھوڑی سی رات
نِّصۡفَهٗۤ اَوِ انْقُصۡ مِنۡهُ قَلِيۡلاًۙ
ترجمہ : (قیام) آدھی رات (کیا کرو)
اَوۡ زِدۡ عَلَيۡهِ وَرَتِّلِ الۡقُرۡاٰنَ تَرۡتِيۡلاًؕ
ترجمہ : یا اس سے کچھ کم یا کچھ زیادہ اور قرآن کو ٹھہر ٹھہر کر پڑھا کرو
اِنَّا سَنُلۡقِىۡ عَلَيۡكَ قَوۡلاً ثَقِيۡلاً
ترجمہ : ہم عنقریب تم پر ایک بھاری فرمان نازل کریں گے
إِنَّ نَاشِئَةَ ٱلَّيْلِ هِىَ أَشَدُّ وَطْـًۭٔا وَأَقْوَمُ قِيلًا
ترجمہ : کچھ شک نہیں کہ رات کا اٹھنا (نفس بہیمی) کو سخت پامال کرتا ہے اور اس وقت ذکر بھی خوب درست ہوتا ہے
اِنَّ لَـكَ فِىۡ النَّهَارِ سَبۡحًا طَوِيۡلاًؕ
ترجمہ : دن کے وقت تو تمہیں اور بہت سے شغل ہوتے ہیں
وَاذۡكُرِ اسۡمَ رَبِّكَ وَتَبَتَّلۡ اِلَيۡهِ تَبۡتِيۡلاًؕ
ترجمہ : تو اپنے پروردگار کے نام کا ذکر کرو اور ہر طرف سے بےتعلق ہو کر اسی کی طرف متوجہ ہوجاؤ
رَبُّ الۡمَشۡرِقِ وَالۡمَغۡرِبِ لَاۤ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ فَاتَّخِذۡهُ وَكِيۡلاً
ترجمہ : مشرق اور مغرب کا مالک (ہے اور) اس کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں تو اسی کو اپنا کارساز بناؤ
وَاصۡبِرۡ عَلٰى مَا يَقُوۡلُوۡنَ وَاهۡجُرۡهُمۡ هَجۡرًا جَمِيۡلاً
ترجمہ : اور جو جو (دل آزار) باتیں یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں ان کو سہتے رہو اور اچھے طریق سے ان سے کنارہ کش رہو
وَذَرۡنِىۡ وَالۡمُكَذِّبِيۡنَ اُولِىۡ النَّعۡمَةِ وَمَهِّلۡهُمۡ قَلِيۡلاً
ترجمہ : اور مجھے ان جھٹلانے والوں سے جو دولتمند ہیں سمجھ لینے دو اور ان کو تھوڑی سی مہلت دے دو
اِنَّ لَدَيۡنَاۤ اَنۡكَالاً وَّجَحِيۡمًاۙ
ترجمہ : کچھ شک نہیں کہ ہمارے پاس بیڑیاں ہیں اور بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ ہے
وَّطَعَامًا ذَا غُصَّةٍ وَّعَذَابًا اَلِيۡمًا
ترجمہ : اور گلوگیر کھانا ہے اور درد دینے والا عذاب (بھی) ہے
يَوۡمَ تَرۡجُفُ الۡاَرۡضُ وَالۡجِبَالُ وَكَانَتِ الۡجِبَالُ كَثِيۡبًا مَّهِيۡلاً
ترجمہ : جس دن زمین اور پہاڑ کانپنے لگیں اور پہاڑ ایسے بھر بھرے (گویا) ریت کے ٹیلے ہوجائیں
اِنَّاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلَيۡكُمۡ رَسُوۡلاً ۙ شَاهِدًا عَلَيۡكُمۡ كَمَاۤ اَرۡسَلۡنَاۤ اِلٰى فِرۡعَوۡنَ رَسُوۡلاًؕ
ترجمہ : (اے اہل مکہ) جس طرح ہم نے فرعون کے پاس (موسیٰ کو) پیغمبر (بنا کر) بھیجا تھا (اسی طرح) تمہارے پاس بھی (محمدﷺ) رسول بھیجے ہیں جو تمہارے مقابلے میں گواہ ہوں گے
فَعَصٰى فِرۡعَوۡنُ الرَّسُوۡلَ فَاَخَذۡنٰهُ اَخۡذًا وَّبِيۡلاً
ترجمہ : سو فرعون نے (ہمارے) پیغمبر کا کہا نہ مانا تو ہم نے اس کو بڑے وبال میں پکڑ لیا
فَكَيۡفَ تَتَّقُوۡنَ اِنۡ كَفَرۡتُمۡ يَوۡمًا يَّجۡعَلُ الۡوِلۡدَانَ شِيۡبَا ۖ
ترجمہ : اگر تم بھی (ان پیغمبروں کو) نہ مانو گے تو اس دن سے کیونکر بچو گے جو بچّوں کو بوڑھا کر دے گا
اۨلسَّمَآءُ مُنۡفَطِرٌۢ بِهٖؕ كَانَ وَعۡدُهٗ مَفۡعُوۡلاً
ترجمہ : (اور) جس سے آسمان پھٹ جائے گا۔ یہ اس کا وعدہ (پورا) ہو کر رہے گا
اِنَّ هٰذِهٖ تَذۡكِرَةٌ ۚ فَمَنۡ شَآءَ اتَّخَذَ اِلٰى رَبِّهٖ سَبِيۡلاً
ترجمہ : یہ (قرآن) تو نصیحت ہے۔ سو جو چاہے اپنے پروردگار تک (پہنچنے کا) رستہ اختیار کرلے
Introduction [ Surah Muzammil ]
